Rent gets blasted

In todays Star Tribune, The new movie "Rent" gets blasted by my new favorite reviewer Colin Covert. He just absolutely lays the verbal smackdown on this movie. Some highlights
The characters are mostly colorful lowlifes with "lovable" eccentricities such as not paying their bills, robbing ATM machines and drumming on a 10-gallon pickle bucket so energetically it drives a dog to suicide.

A lot has been made of the show's multicultural makeup, but like a corporation that mocks diversity by hiring conformists of all colors, "Rent" offers the blandest racial smorgasbord imaginable.

Seriously read the whole review its awesome. Colin Covert, I will be reading what you have to say in the future. More reviews like this and I will be demanding that you replace Jeff Strickler as Minneapolis head reviewer

For more review goodness, the new movie "Yours, Mine and Ours" has garnered one of the lowest ratings overall that I have seen on Rotten Tomatoes. It has 7%!!! You read that correctly. At the time I am writing this, 7 people out of 100 would walk out of the theatre and have enjoyed it.
